Transportation

We try to keep transportation as easy and equitable as possible.

What does easy and equitable include?

1: Public Transportation. In all feasible situations, we will choose trails or outdoor experiences that can be accessed by public transportation and a short walk to the experience. In addition, if needed we can cover the cost of public transportation is needed (that does not include ride share apps like Uber).

2: Carpooling. In situations in which we might need to drive to see something breathtaking that is not accessible in any other way, we will prioritize carpooling, making sure that we aren't driving around with half empty cars. This is an optimization, transportation, and environmental issue. Car drivers will probably include parents, but don't worry if you always need a drive, that's what friends are for.

3: Central Locations. When possible, we will choose locations depending on where people live and can access. If a large amount of members who want to join a hike life in the Santa Monica area, we would choose a hike closer to them, just so that the majority of the group is not spending two hours in a Metro or car.
